Iruvai [10 December through 07 April] – hot, humid and dry

• Mula (10 – 22 December) – Rough seas brought about by strong winds

• Furahalha (23 December – 05 January) – Strong winds and rough seas prevail

• Uthurahalha (06 – 18 January) – Clear skies, strong winds and rough seas

• Huvan (19 – 31 January) – Clear blue skies and calm seas

• Dhinasha (01 – 13 February) – Plenty of sunshine, windy with moderate seas

• Hiyviha (14 – 26 February) – Hot days and nights with calm seas

• Furabadhuruva (27 February – 11 March) – Thunder and lightning bursts

• Fasbadhuruva (12 – 25 March) – Clear blue skies

• Reyva (26 March – 07 April) – If storms occur it may be severe


Hulhangu [08 April through 09 December] – wet and hot

• Assidha – (08 – 21 April) – Stormy at first, then hot and dry

• Burunu – (22 April – 05 May) – Bit stormy leading to calm conditions

• Kethi – (06 – 19 May) – Cloudy with frequent showers

• Roanu – (20 May – 02 June) – Stormy with strong winds and rough seas

• Miyaheli – (03 – 16 June) – Strong winds and rough seas preavail

• Adha – (17 – 30 June) – Light winds and moderate seas

• Funoas – (01 – 14 July) – Rough seas and stormy conditions

• Fus – (15 – 28 July) – Mostly cloudy and wet

• Ahuliha – (29 July – 10 August) – Calm with occasional winds and rain

• Maa – (11 – 23 August) – Calm weather

• Fura – (24 August – 06 September) – Mostly dry with occasional showers

• Uthura – (07 – 20 September) – Strong winds and occasional showers

• Atha – (21 September – 03 October) – Mostly calm and clear with the occasional showers

• Hitha – (04 – 17 October) – Occasional showers with winds

• Viha – (01 – 13 November) – Clear skies and calm seas

• Nora – (14 – 26 November) – Occasional showers with winds

• Dosha – (27 November – 09 December) – Windy with occasional showers
